It uses OBD2 to calculate values useful for drivability diagnostics and it actually ALERTS you of problems such as:Īlert lights on the left side are constantly updated for Bank 1 and Bank 2 and show the status of the control system. It will also not give you a VE test on any car that only has a MAP sensor. Escan will not give you a Volumetric test or Cat test, etc. I have used it on a Diesel truck because I was curious myself.
